Qtv enables providers to deliver a potentially unlimited number of interactive online content service channels to the TV. Potential content services include:
- Video-on-Demand - Short or full length videos, such as movies, music videos, pilots, special interest, foreign language, local content, user generated, news, educational materials and sports programming.
- Music - Music, music subscription services, on-line music stores and Internet radio.
- Shopping - Interactive online shopping and auctions.
- Gaming - Interactive contests and network gaming.
- Local - Localized information, such as weather, movies and events.
- Common Interest - Niche content, such as alumni games, local football games and special interest groups can create their own interactive TV channel.
Qtv does not host or deliver the content, but gives consumers access to the content and services from our partner providers. Qtv indexes the content metadata provided by each provider into a single metadata library. The metadata is used to populate the menus within the user interface, as described below.
