PS2 Network Media Player Architecture
The PS2 platform differs greatly from a standard PC. It utilizes a multi-processor architecture consisting of several processors and co-processors, 32MB of RAM, 8MB of volatile storage via a memory card, a DVD/CD-ROM and, in all current models, a 10/100 network interface. Older models require a $39 Sony Network adaptor for connectivity. The QCast technology is designed to take advantage of PS2’s resources and will continuously be optimized for additional performance.

Version 2.0 User Comment:
"...set-up took all of ten minutes. Test video was sweet and my own movies look SO much better than when I ran the computer straight to the TV! Thank you QCast, you have made an excellent product."
